My Dream University Journey

My Dream University Journey  Since my childhood, I have had a dream - a dream to study in a place where art is alive, creativity is celebrated, and where I truly belong. That dream was to attend the University of Visual and Performing Arts. For me, this university is not just an institution. It's a place I've admired for many years. Whenever I think about my future, I always think about being a student there, learning, growing, and becoming a better artist. It's not just a goal - it's my dream. Today I am proud to say that I am a first year student at my dream university. Even though I am not physically attending the university at the moment, my connection with it is still strong. Being a part of this university itself feels like a huge achievement in my life. Sometimes I feel a little sad that I can't physically experience university - walk across campus, meet friends, learn face-to-face. But at the same time, I remind myself that this is just a phase. My journey h...

My School Life and My Talents

My School Life and My Talents School life was one of the most beautiful chapters of my life. It wasn't just about studying - it was about discovering who I was, my talents and my passion. At Balapitiya Ga/Rewatha National School, I discovered my true self through dance and media. From a young age, I became the lead dancer of our school dance team. Dance has always been close to my heart, but school gave me a platform to shine. Every performance, every practice, and every competition helped me grow stronger and more confident. Being the lead dancer wasn't easy - it came with responsibility, pressure, and high expectations. But dance was a part of me, so I embraced every challenge. At the same time, I also became the chief announcer for our school media unit. Standing in front of an audience, speaking confidently, and leading events was another special skill I discovered. Through this, I learned how to express myself, control my voice, and connect with people. One of the most me...

My Dance Journey

My Dance Journey  Dance is not just a talent for me - it is my passion, my strength and my identity. My journey began when I was a little girl in primary school, full of dreams and curiosity. Growing up in Sri Lanka, I was always inspired by our beautiful traditional dance culture. I started my dance journey at G/Rewatha National School in Balapitiya, where my love for dance slowly turned into a lifelong passion. Behind my journey is a very special person - my beloved teacher, Nadeesha Sumuduni. She was not only my teacher, but also my guide, my strength and the one who believed in me even when I doubted myself. My first big step was participating in the All-Ceylon competition for Eluwan Kama. At that time, I was still very young and nervous. We won second place in the Southern Province, and that moment changed everything for me. That was the day I realized that I wanted to continue with dance. After that, I started competing every year. The journey wasn’t always easy. There were t...
