 My Beautiful Country - Sri Lanka


My beautiful country Sri Lanka, is a small island with a big heart. Surrounded by the deep blue ocean, it is a land full of nature beauty, rich culture and warm, loving people. No matter where I go, Sri Lanka will always be my home and my pride. 


From the golden beaches to green mountains, every part of this country feels like a piece of paradise. The coastal areas shine under the sun, while the hill country places like Ella and Nuwara Eliya bring calmness with their cool and misty views. When I see these beautiful landscapes, I feel lucky to be born in such a wonderful place.  


Sri Lanka is also rich in history and  tradition. Sri Lanka is also rich in history and traditions. Ancient cities like Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa remind us of our great past. Sacred places like Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy show the deep spiritual roots of our people.


Our culture is colorful and full of life. Festivals like the Sinhala and Tamil New Year bring families together with happiness, traditions, and delicious food. Traditional dancing, music, and customs make our country unique and beautiful in its own way.


And of course, Sri Lankan food is something I can never forget. The taste of Rice and Curry, crispy Hoppers, and spicy Kottu Roti always reminds me of home.


But more than anything, it is the people who make Sri Lanka truly special. Their kindness, smiles, and hospitality make everyone feel welcome and loved.

The Saddest Day of My Life

The most saddest day of my life was May 11, 2024, the day my father passed away. I never imagined that such a painful moment would come so suddenly into my life. Losing him left a void that I still struggle to understand and accept. My father was not just a parent, he was my guide, my protector, and my greatest source of strength. My father was everything to me. On that day, I felt an overwhelming sadness that words cannot fully describe, and I could not believe that he was truly gone 💔. Even now, I am amazed at how I managed to cope with the reality of his absence. Yet, I take comfort in knowing that, wherever he is, he is watching over me. My father’s love, guidance, and unwavering support shaped who I am today, and I carry his memory with me in everything I do. Father, I love you deeply, and your presence will always remain in my heart ♥️.
