My School Life and My Talents

My School Life and My Talents

School life was one of the most beautiful chapters of my life. It wasn't just about studying - it was about discovering who I was, my talents and my passion. At Balapitiya Ga/Rewatha National School, I discovered my true self through dance and media.

From a young age, I became the lead dancer of our school dance team. Dance has always been close to my heart, but school gave me a platform to shine. Every performance, every practice, and every competition helped me grow stronger and more confident. Being the lead dancer wasn't easy - it came with responsibility, pressure, and high expectations. But dance was a part of me, so I embraced every challenge.

At the same time, I also became the chief announcer for our school media unit. Standing in front of an audience, speaking confidently, and leading events was another special skill I discovered. Through this, I learned how to express myself, control my voice, and connect with people.

One of the most memorable moments in my school life was the annual sports festival. On that day, both my media teacher and dance teacher trusted me and gave me important roles. I got the opportunity to shine in both the fields of dance and announcement. That moment made me proud of myself because I realized how much I had improved and how much my teachers believed in me.

Of course, my journey wasn’t always easy. Managing both dance and media work while focusing on my studies was challenging. There were stressful days, long practices, and moments of doubt. But I never gave up because I knew my dreams were bigger than my struggles.
